Today, Carlos and I pitched the tent in the garden, getting it ready for the imminent beginning of our adventure. We applied permethrin in order to stop all the creepy crawling from taking residence with us.
The journey has been postponed for a week, due to some bureaucratic issues. We will now set off on June the 7th (Monday).
At the moment, my primary concern is the English Channel crossing; there is the risk that we would not be able to board the ferry. Although most travel restrictions have been eased, even if the English government does not advise us to enter France, the ferries company is not allowing on-foot travellers. We can get on board with a bicycle; unfortunately, our legs are not good enough as a mean of transportation.
We are keeping our fingers crossed, hoping for the best.
